Would you like to reduce the number of harsh chemicals you use in your home? Doing so is inexpensive and simple. Consider these appliance cleaning tips that use safe, natural ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.
Clean Just About Anything

1 cup white vinegar
1 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup water
3-5 drops of liquid dish soap
Optional: 3-5 drops of lemon essential oil
This cleaner is antimicrobial and powers through grease. It is safe for use on most appliances, including those with surfaces made of metal, glass, plastic and enamel. This cleaner is not recommended for use on wood or marble, so be careful of over-spray.

As you walk down the aisle in nearly any grocery store, you’re greeted by high-priced cleaners that have every chemical mixture possible. Although these chemical combinations are effective, they’re not necessarily good for the Earth. Take a close look at some of the ways that you can clean those appliances without relying on chemicals. The Earth and your health will thank you in the end.
Open the Refrigerator’s Door
You may place a baking-soda container in your refrigerator so that odors are neutralized, but it doesn’t scrub the interior walls for you. Grab a spray bottle, and add an equal amount of water and vinegar to it. Shake up the mixture and scrub. Vinegar is very acidic, and it kills off germs and fungus with a very low concentration. Use a soft rag during your scrubbing process in order to protect the refrigerator’s walls from any scratches. (more…)

In the past, reheating food used to require the use of the stovetop or oven, which took considerable time. By the 1980s, the microwave was slowly becoming the solution to leftover night. Place the food inside the appliance, add a time to the control panel and your meal is ready in a matter of minutes. However, your appliance may require a visit from a Milwaukee microwave repair professional at some point. Examine your kitchen for any of these symptoms that indicate some repairs are necessary right away.
You may have set the microwave for three minutes, but your food is still incredibly cold. There could be several issues at play, which requires a professional’s expertise to solve. An internal part, such as a diode, might be bad. This electronic component acts as a heating element within the appliance. Alternatively, you could have a bad door switch. If the appliance senses that your door isn’t properly sealed, it won’t activate any heat or radiation. (more…)

When your household appliance breaks down, you might think that a DIY project is in order. The repair couldn’t be that difficult, but the process often overwhelms amateur technicians. You may not want to call a Milwaukee appliance repair technician, but the benefits outweigh the drawbacks on several levels. Save time and money by consulting with a professional technician about your malfunctioning appliance. There might be problems that you may not realize are present.
Specialized Tools Availability
Modern appliances often have specialized tools for adjustments and other repair processes. You won’t find these tools at any home improvement center, however. Unique tooling is usually designed by the manufacturer’s workers. These tools may only be sold to repair technicians trained on those particular appliances. As a result, the final customer doesn’t have access to these tools because of their lack of training. Hiring a qualified repair technician means that the right tools are applied to the specific appliance. Using improper tools will only further damage the appliance. (more…)

Before the advent of the microwave, you reheated your food on the stove or in the oven. This time-consuming process was cut in half with microwave technology. Using powerful radiation waves, food is quickly warmed for instant meals. If your microwave has been working for years, but started acting strangely, it may be time for microwave repair. Dave’s Appliance Service, in fact, performs microwave repair to keep your kitchen running smoothly.
No Response On Control Panel
Your control panel takes a lot of abuse, including wet fingers and excessive cleaning products. If it does not respond to your finger pressure, carefully remove the panel to clean the backside. Debris and cleaning fluid may hinder its operation. Check that the microwave door is closed as well. Interlock switches, locking the door in place, must work correctly to activate the appliance. Professionals may need to be called in to replace any malfunctioning switches, however.
