Since the solutions often leave residual traces of the chemicals that are contained in them, you want to make sure that they are healthy for your family and nature. To check if your product is eco-friendly, read the labels that are on the packaging. If you see words such as poison, corrosive, flammable, or warning, this is a good sign that it contains ingredients that are not all natural and that can be harmful. It’s time to clean the dust and dirt behind your refrigerator.
Simple refrigerator maintenance like this is important in avoiding issues in the future. Using a hand held vacuum, remove the dust from the coils underneath or on the backside of the unit. Accumulated dust can cause the motor to overheat and cost $$$ more to run.

Appliance Tip: Vinegar is a GREAT natural cleaner

A great appliance tip is the use of vinegar as a natural fabric softener. This is especially helpful for families with sensitive skin issues. Use 1/2 cup vinegar in the rinse cycle in place of store bought fabric softener. It also has an added benefit of breaking down laundry detergent, and cleaning your washing machine.

Clean your washer once a month. To clean your front load washer: Pour 2 cups of distilled vinegar into the dispenser and run your washer on a normal cycle. When finished leave the door open to air out.
